Small Change. BIG Impact! Beauty Changes Lives Launches Change Jar Challenge for the Holiday Giving Season

A low-lift, high-impact way for beauty businesses of all sizes to give back, engage their communities, and help change lives.

October 2026 – This holiday season, Beauty Changes Lives (BCL) is inviting the entire beauty and wellness industry to come together for a simple act of generosity with the launch of the Change Jar Challenge.

Designed to be a low-lift, high-impact fundraising opportunity, the Change Jar Challenge makes it easy for beauty schools, salons, spas, independent professionals, and businesses of all sizes to give back. No elaborate fundraising events or major commitments required. Just a jar, a little spare change, and a shared commitment to supporting the next generation.

Beyond raising funds, the challenge creates an opportunity for businesses to show their communities that giving back matters. A change jar at the front desk can spark conversations with clients and students, raise awareness of the Beauty Changes Lives mission, and demonstrate a business’s commitment to the future of the industry.

The idea is simple: When an entire industry comes together, even the smallest contributions can create BIG impact.

“Every scholarship we award is made possible by a community that believes in the next generation,” said Lisa Roeberg, President and Executive Director of Beauty Changes Lives. “We hope the Change Jar Challenge gives every beauty business, regardless of size or resources, a simple and visible way to participate. It’s an opportunity to show your community what you stand for while helping create meaningful opportunities for future professionals.”

One Jar. Two Minutes. Three Easy Steps.

Participating couldn’t be easier:

  1. Set it out. Place a change jar at your front desk beginning November 1.
  2. Watch it fill. Invite your clients, students, and community to contribute their spare change throughout November.
  3. Change lives. Donate what you’ve collected on Giving Tuesday, December 1, to support scholarships and career opportunities for future beauty and wellness professionals.

Since 2012, Beauty Changes Lives has supported more than 1,500 scholarship recipients in pursuing their dreams. Through scholarships, mentorship, and career development opportunities, BCL is working to make careers in beauty and wellness a first choice.

For participating businesses, the challenge is more than a fundraiser. It’s a chance to engage clients in a shared purpose, introduce more people to the impact of Beauty Changes Lives, and proudly demonstrate their commitment to giving back.
