Bridging the Generation Gap: Embracing Diverse Perspectives
The 2nd Annual Beauty Changes Lives Industry Leader Roundtable will take place on Sunday, April 21st at Loews Chicago O’Hare hotel, across the street from America’s Beauty Show. The Roundtable will take place from 2:00 to 4:30 pm, including time for networking and hospitality.
This exclusive, by-invitation event brings together leaders across beauty, barbering and wellness to share insights, and tackle one of our largest collective challenges: the generational divide.
In a world fueled by social media and diverse values, understanding and bridging the gap between generations is crucial for our industry’s future. Through interactive activities and facilitated discussions, this roundtable will provide a platform to:
- address this topic from a beauty industry-specific perspective, exploring the unique priorities, perceptions, and expectations of the different generations;
- identify strategies to attract, retain, and empower talent across different generations, and develop actionable guidelines to help close the gap and foster a more inclusive, future-proof industry.
The Roundtable will present insights and data on the generational divide breaking into facilitated group discussions representing different generations (industry icons & industry trailblazers). After networking, we’ll wrap up with a summary of key findings that our leaders can integrate into their own businesses. The industry leader roundtable will be moderated by Amika’s Reuben Carranza with generational expert Anne Smart of Generation6 consulting.
At 4:45 attendees can join an optional informal follow-up Q&A with Anne Smart.
At 6:00 pm the annual Beauty Changes Lives GALA and afterparty kicks off – this year’s theme is “The Power of One: Everyone – A Celebration of Unity, Vision and Giving Back.”
