Imani drew inspiration for her application storyboard and essay from Maya Angelou’s poem “Phenomenal Woman.” “For a woman of color, this industry wasn’t always as inclusive as it is now,” she says. “So, I’ve made it my mission to help people to love the skin they’re in.” The future esthetician wants to use her education not only to enhance clients’ features but to educate them about proper skincare.
