Beauty is in the family bloodline for Britney. She  was raised in a family of beauty professionals who founded beauty and barbering colleges, salons and even beauty products. But it was only during college that Britney discovered a career in beauty might be part of her professional DNA. She had an aha moment as she traveled from dorm to dorm cutting hair after classes. “In college, I learned that by using my natural talent styling hair, I could also pay for my bus fare and food for the week,” she says. After marrying and giving birth to her daughter, Britney felt that she’d lost a bit of herself and began doing eyelash and hairstyling which she recorded and shared on YouTube. That’s when her passion returned. “I had to find myself again and I wanted to let it be known that Justin Timberlake wasn’t the only one bringing sexy back,” she notes in her application video. Expressing her appreciation to L’Oréal Professional, Britney says the tuition award will allow her to focus on learning, growing and developing her skills as opposed to worrying about funding her education.
