As a young child, watching her mother apply her ruby red lipstick and curl her lashes with a spoon, Yael was fascinated by beauty. But as a first-generation immigrant, she felt immense pressure to be the “picture perfect American daughter” and go to college. After dropping out of university studies, she had an epiphany. “I realized all the things I dreamed of doing were OK and that the reason my parents came to the States was to give me the opportunity to live my dream,” she says. As an esthetician, she looks forward to helping her clients feel confident and empowered to discover their dreams.
