When her youngest child was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014, the mother of three immersed herself in research and began learning about the effect cancer can have on skin. She not only used the insights to care for her daughter but shared her knowledge with clients at Royal Polish Nail Salon, the business she founded in 2010. And while her daughter has recovered, Kristin continues to compassionately care for her clients living with cancer. In Kristin’s application, video, a client and self-described cancer adventurer remarks on how Kristin has helped her during her cancer journey, stating, “Kristin has been a kind and safe harbor in my adventure with ovarian cancer. She made me feel special, exclusive and beautiful.” As she grows her business and cares for her family, Kristin is inspired by the words of Helen Keller: “I cannot do everything, but I am doing something.” Watch Kristin’s application video here.
