My dream of owning a wellness center came after some personal hardship. I was a new mom, newly single, jobless and without a stable home. I was temporarily staying in a transitional living center where a yoga teacher would come teach a weekly class. I fell in love with yoga and realized the importance of self care. My experience encouraged me to become a Certified Yoga teacher and a Licensed Esthetician so I can give back to my community and help people relax, unwind and recharge.
Being educated in Oncology Skincare will further my career by allowing me to care for people who need it most.
Nearly two months ago one of my best friends from high school lost her battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was just 35 years old, leaving behind her 11 year old daughter. Regrettably, I was never able to give her a facial because i lacked the knowledge. In my lovely friend Ruth’s memory I plan to raise awareness and help people heal with integrative holistic therapies. It is my belief that everyone deserves to be pampered and can renew through the power of touch, yoga, meditation and being aware of your body and emotions.
