What do you do when you achieve your lifetime career goal just four years after graduating beauty school? Set a new goal! 2016 Vidal Sassoon Professional Beauty Education recipient Cameron Kepford was named to Modern Salon’s “Top 100” hairstylist list in 2020. Since achieving that “lifetime career goal”, he has set his eyes on the American Influencer Award. “Simply being nominated would be icing on the career cake,” he says.
The owner of Haus of Heir, Cameron credits the Beauty Changes Lives scholarship with putting him on the fast pace to success. “Winning this scholarship a week before I graduated beauty school put me on a launchpad for success. I’m so grateful.”
While Cameron is rooted in the Midwest, a license in beauty has allowed him to travel the globe and style hair at venues ranging from Fashion Week events to celebrity red carpets to editorial shoots.
Cameron is paying his success forward as an ambassador for the Beauty Changes Lives Make Your Mark campaign.
Social Media Savant. Cameron says his career trajectory is “1,000 percent-driven by social media.” After 10-hour days behind the chair, he spends 2-4 more creating content for Tik-Tok and Instagram. “I’m driven to create content that adds value and makes others feel happy,” he says.
