Magdalena is excited about how the Murad scholarship will provide entry into a career that will help her family flourish. “I want us to feel excited about what I accomplished and what it means for all of us, she said. Her application showed her passion for the “American Dream,” noting her commitment to, “work as hard as possible and never give up.”
My family lives paycheck to paycheck, any scholarship will be a big help. The money we pay to a loan can mean no groceries that month, paying rent on time or cell phone bill. My family and I have never lived comfortably. There’s no such thing as saving due to how little is left after all is paid. Receiving this scholarship will lift the weight off my parent’s shoulders most importantly. It’ll help me move forward to focus on my dreams to help my family live a better life and pay back to them. When I graduate, I don’t want my family and me to worry about money. I want us to feel excited about what I had just accomplished and what it means for all of us. To work as hard as possible and never give up no matter what is trying to make you.
