@titalowbudget

Empire Beauty School at Lakeland, FL

After years of chemical treatments to straighten her natural curls, Gretchen made the decision to stop straightening her long hair, chop it off and bring back her natural texture.  She felt empowered by her decision, but quickly became disillusioned.  She found that she could not find the correct products, services or professionals who could manage her hair type.  This started her passion to pursue a career in the professional beauty industry.  She decided to be that professional that could handle all textures of hair.

She says that the Wella Company value she resonates the most with is courage. She feels that she has always had the courage to accept and embrace change.  She took a leap of faith leaving Puerto Rico to move to the US, with no family or friends, chopping off her hair and leaving a successful career to start from scratch.  Now she embraces that courageous spirit for the next chapter of her life, becoming the best stylist for curly and textured hair.
